Amazon Prime day is Amazon’s annual sale for prime members—it’s like Black Friday in July! And it starts this Monday, July 16.
If you want to take advantage of the deals without throwing too much of your hard-earned cash at Jeff Bezos, here are some tips for making the most of Amazon Prime Day.
1) Use a free trial prime membership.
If you’re not an Amazon Prime member, you can get a Prime membership absolutely free for 30 days. But watch out: at the end of 30 days, you will be charged monthly. So make sure you remember to Cancel it afterward.
And the best part? Amazon will let you sample Prime once every 12 months. So you can continue to use Prime day free every year!
2) Use Deal of the Day to find the best deals
The deals are not announced in advance—and items are limited. So it pays to pay close attention. You can browse deals of the day on Monday to be the first to see each new deal as it comes out.
3) Set up a watch list
While the deals aren’t known in advance, you can use last years deals to get an idea of what to expect. If there’s a particular item you want, it is well worth preparing in advance by creating a watch list. That way if one of your items comes up on sale you’ll get a notification.
