More and more soon-to-be retirees are considering retirement overseas. Over 373,000 retired U.S. workers now receive Social Security checks overseas.
Not only are they drawn to exotic locations and foreign languages, but foreign retirement can also be cheaper than retiring domestically. In Ecuador, for example, a retired couple can live comfortably on less than $1,500 a month.
